Free to Be Me

On May 17th, 2009, I buried the words, "I Can't".

What most people don't stop and realize is

that I buried so much more than the words, "I Can't".

Along with those words, I was able to bury

the woman I use to be,

the little girl who never felt she was good enough,

the child who never seemed to fit in with the crowd,

the teenager who hid during lunchtime

because she was too afraid she was going to be

beat up by the punks,

the wife who didn't feel validated,

the mother who wasn't respected,

the dark voice inside that only tore her down

and the woman who didn't feel she deserved

the absolute best that life has to offer.

Today is the beginning of a brand spankin'

new chapter in my life. A chapter that

reaps the rewards of a higher calling

full of blessings because I am whole and

I am able and willing to submit myself to

the One who called me to be larger than life

and to be a blessing to everyone around me.

A special thanks to everyone at The Million Mind March

who has so graciously loved me for who I am,

cheered me on and encouraged me to keep listening.

An extra special thanks to Joe Schroeder

for challenging me in a way that I have

never been challenged before.

My life is forever changed.

Wealthy People Stand on the Receiving End of the Cash Register

Hi, there!!!

How has your week started out so far?

You know what they say,

"Time flies when you're having fun!"

By the way, who are "they" anyway? (wink)

Anyway, I'm just reading through

'The Narrative' by Joe Schroeder

and wanted to share another golden nugget

with you.

Here goes.....

Wealthy people stand behind the cash register.

The masses stand in front of it.

Which side have you been on?

What you argue for....you get to keep.

People take their failure wherever they go.

Don't follow.

No one really has any 'FREE' time.

People have busy lives.

That's why successful people MAKE time.

People think it's important to keep

The "I won't quit" paradigm in their head.

That takes too much effort.

Just keep going and keep practicing

And you'll never find the time to quit.

The more responsibility you take on...

The richer you'll get.

Use people like Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates and Jay Leno

as examples.

How many people rely on them?

Be an accountable capitalist!

The 5 Skills All Great Networkers Have to Acquire

1) How to effectively get the products into the marketplace.
2) How to effectively bring people into your organization.
3) How to effectively train your future leaders.
4) How to have the patience for the ones that are slower.
5) How to have the patience to wait for your team to mature.

Hmmmm.....

Good, good stuff!

Something to think about and chew on.

Hope you have a fantastic week and remember,

I'm always here if you need some direction.

People Never Fail, They Just Stop Trying

Some of you may know I've been working out to lose a few pounds.
Raise your hand if you've ever waved that banner!
I think most of us would agree that the weight
just doesn't come off as quickly as it use to....as we 'mature' in years.

(smiles)

Anyway, I think it's been 6 months or so of me heading to the gym
or taking brisk walks in the morning or attempting to run a little. ha!
To be honest, I was SO out of shape in the beginning that my calves
would hurt pretty bad and then my legs would feel like jello...from WALKING!

Yikes!

Yet, I kept up the pace.
I didn't let that pain stop me.
I plowed through the discomfort and kept my eyes focused
on the GOOD things that were ahead of me.

Well, here it is 6 months later and while I haven't lost a ton of weight,
my body HAS changed and I've taken my fitness plan to another level.
I've made some necessary changes to my diet that WILL bring health
and promote OVERALL wellness as well as help me lose the weight
I want to lose to achieve optimal fitness.

Believe me, this has been a challenge as I have ALWAYS been thin
and I've been able to eat, drink and be merry....without much of a problem.

Well, not anymore! (singin' the 40's blues...lol)

Now, had I thrown in the towel 5 months ago
because the scale read that I hadn't lost a SINGLE pound,
where would I be today?

Back on course to lose the muscle, eat the crud
and gain even more weight than where I had started!!

So what does this all have to do with building a business from home?

Well, I'll tell you! :)

Building a business from home brings a lot of challenges
that the average Joe may not even be aware of.

We sign up, get our products in a box, get excited,
tell all our friends and make a few sales.

BUT.....

When things get tough, most people quit!

They stop trying to move ahead and they lose sight of their dream.
For one reason or another they talk themselves out of pressing forward
and plowing through the tough times that make them stronger.

What about you?
What are you doing to press forward?
What do you do when you are faced with challenges?
What do you do to motivate yourself to wake up in the morning
and work your business when you might not feel like working it?
Who are you surrounding yourself with that is going to cheer you on?
How do you respond when things just aren't going fast enough?

Look, we're all in this together.

We all share a similar dream......
A dream of independence and freedom.

Push yourself!
Don't lose sight of the prize!
Keep moving and don't allow anything or anyone to distract you!
Believe in yourself, keep your head down and take it to the next level!

Remember, it's never the people that fail,
it's just that they stopped trying.

Jingle the Keys of Consistency

Network marketing requires some very simple principles
that demand your attention if you intend to build
a successful business.

While these principles may be simple,
they are in no way intended to be dismissed.
There is a wealth of insight that can be gleaned
for anyone willing to invest the time and energy
that is necessary to not only read the principles,
but also apply them.

Let's take a moment to explore one very important principle,
keeping in mind that while this may seem to be geared
for the newcomer in network marketing,
even the more polished network marketer can stand the reminder
of the simplicity of what we do while in the trenches.

Making a Consistent Effort is Key!

If you're anything like me, you've taken on the challenge
to achieve a specific goal and decided to plow forward
with all your heart and soul to make sure you accomplish
the task placed before you.

Whether it is weight loss or fitness,
saving for a high priced item,
personal development or overcoming your fears,
chances are you've set out to achieve something
at some time in your life. Right?

In order for you to accomplish the task at hand,
you will have to apply consistent effort and energy
towards achieving the end goal. Without consistent effort,
you will not reap the financial benefits and rewards
that come when working consistently.

Now that would be rather frustrating, would it not?

Yes!!!! So, let's be consistent!

Consistency takes discipline and for some, that just isn't easy.
It's those small, often mundane tasks that are performed
on a daily basis that will make a difference
in driving your business forward.

Left alone, these are so small that they seem almost meaningless.
It's when you pull all of these small tasks together
that you will begin to note progress.

Keep in mind, it's okay to work a business part-time or full-time,
but never spare time.

Do yourself a favor and don't expect anything positive to happen
if you are working your business as if it is a hobby.
You'll save yourself a lot of heartache because quite frankly,
the garden isn't going to grow if the garden isn't tended.

With that in mind, establish office hours each day
when you can devote time to your business, without interuption.
If it's difficult for you to work your business uninterupted,
then you will need to find times during the day when you can
be productive and professional at the same time, without interuption.

Moms and Dads, that may mean that you will have to find a quiet place
and while that may be a challenge, it is necessary.

I've heard numerous times that people just don't
have the time to build their business.

It's an unfortunate statement because
the fact of the matter is that
we all have 24 hours in every day.

It's what you do with your time that
displays your priorities.

If you really want to be successful,
you'll have to sacrifice something in order
to work your business consistently and push
your business to the level of success you are looking for.

Remember, this is not a race.

You are working on your own time clock
and while there may be some in your networking business
that take off and seemingly make it to the 'top'
within a very short period of time,
most of you will find that success comes with consistent effort
and without the limelight of being the fastest person
to build a business in the shortest period of time.

What If

What if all this stuff you've been told is so hard and so complicated
is just a game?

What if instead of you thinking there is not enough money,
there is really money all around you?

What if the only thing that is stopping you from seeing it
is the thought process in your mind?

What if you've been telling yourself a bunch of lies?

What if you've been playing a game
but you've been playing by the wrong rules?

What if the answers have been in front of you all along?

Hmmmmm.......

What if.....

The Parable of the Sower

How many times have you joined a program,
you thought you were doing pretty good.

You made some money.

Then a few months later,
it was all washed away.

The person who makes 15k a month is the same
person who made 1k a month and KEPT going.

Network marketing is all about sowing seed.

Remember your purpose, your calling and your passion.

Keep sowing your seeds and you will reap the harvest.

Read the following and apply it
to the seed you scatter as a network marketer.

****************************
Matthew 13:3b-8

A farmer went out to sow his seeds.
As he was scattering the seed,
some fell along the path,
and the birds came and ate it up.

Some fell on rocky places,
where it did not have much soil.
It sprang up quickly,
because the soil was shallow.

But when the sun came up,
the plants were scorched,
and they withered because they had no root.

Other seed fell among thorns,
which grew up and choked the plants.

Still other seed fell on good soil,
where it produced a crop-
a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
